Ayurveda Acharya (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery – BAMS)

The institution offers Bachelor of Ayurveda in Medicine and Surgery (B A M S) course of 5- and 1/2-years duration which includes One year of compulsory internship.

Intake Capacity for BAMS is 60

B.A.M.S (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) is the most comprehensive qualification degree in Ayurvedic medicine.

Admission commences after the announcement of PUC results

B.A.M.S Degree Course:

  • The B.A.M.S. Degree is 5 years and 6 months course consisting of the following pattern –
    • First Professional – 18 months.
    • Second Professional – 18 months.
    • Third Professional – 18 months.
    • Internship – 12 months.

Admission Criteria

Graduation Course & Eligibility for Admission

  • 12th Standard with Science or any other equivalent examination recognized by concerned State Governments , Union territory and Education boards provided the candidate passes the examination with 50 % aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. With NEET Eligible.
  • For Foreign Students any other equivalent qualification to be approved by the association of Indian Universities (AIU) will be allowed.

Admission procedure for out of state students

Students of other state should attach an eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, along with the application.

Admission procedure for foreign students

A foreign national seeking admission should enclose the following certificates with the application:

  • An eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru.
  • A clearance certificate obtained from Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, New Delh
  • No objection certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, in case of candidates having other qualification not mentioned in the prospectus as the equivalent of Karnataka State P.U.C Examination.
  • A regular student should produce Visa/ Long Term Visa (for further details, they are required to refer to the Memorandum No. A1/FR/51(86) dated 1-4-1986, issued by the office of the DG (intelligence), Bangalore). Need to produce a copy of medical screening.
